A | (ECNS) -- China exported 1.043 million vehicles in July, up 81.3% year on year, marking the second consecutive month exports exceeded one million units, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said Wednesday. New energy vehicle exports reached 553,000, up 5.7% from June and 145.5% year on year. NEVs accounted for more than half of China’s vehicle exports for the second straight month. The association said China’s integrated automotive supply chain, along with rapidly evolving smart-driving and in-car interaction technologies, has helped support export growth and adapt vehicles to overseas market needs. B | (ECNS) -- Chancay Port, a China-Peru joint venture, handled 200,000 TEUs of containers in the first half of 2026, up 70.94% year on year, COSCO SHIPPING said Thursday. Bulk and general cargo reached 987,000 metric tons, up 41.2%, while roll on/roll off cargo surged 340% to 44,000 metric tons. The port now operates three mainline container routes and five feeder services covering Asia, South America’s west coast, Central America and Panama. The direct Chancay-Shanghai shipping route has shortened shipping time between China and Peru from 35-40 days to 23 days and cut logistics costs by more than 20%. It helps Peruvian fresh produce, fruit and other agricultural products reach the Chinese market more quickly, while also handling cargo from Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil. Two weekly services now connect Chancay with Shanghai and other major Chinese ports. (By Helen Mo, intern Yang Hongran)
